Anonymous Chat (Android package com.chat.anonymous) is an 18+ dating / meet-and-chat service. Last updated: 16 August 2026. Contact: ops@anonymouschat.tech.
Accounts created without an email (“no-email signup”) are pseudonymous: you get a generated login ID. This is not untraceable anonymity. We still process technical data needed to run and secure the service.
1. Who we are
Anonymous Chat operates the mobile app and related API at api.anonymouschat.tech. For privacy questions, email ops@anonymouschat.tech.
2. What we collect
Account
Display name, gender, login ID (email or generated ID), password hash (Argon2).
Age is self-attested as 18+ at signup; we do not require a date of birth by default. Public profiles show an adulthood label (18+), not a numeric age.
Account status, online presence, last seen time, locale preference.
Communications
Chat messages (text, images, voice notes) and related metadata (conversation IDs, timestamps).
Reports you submit and any message evidence attached to a report.
Device and diagnostics
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push tokens and app language for notifications.
Crash and stability diagnostics via Firebase Crashlytics.
Basic security/audit logs, which may include IP address, user agent, and session identifiers.
What we do not collect by default
Government ID or biometric verification.
Precise location / GPS.
Advertising IDs for third-party ads (this build has no ads).
3. How we use data
Provide meet-and-chat, online discovery, messaging, and media delivery.
Send push notifications about new messages (see push policy below).
Moderate safety reports, enforce blocks, suspend or ban accounts that violate policy.
Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and operate the service securely.
We do not sell personal data.
4. Push notification preview policy
By default, push notification bodies are generic (for example “New message”, “New message: photo”, or “New message: voice”). Message text is not included in push bodies by default.
5. Sharing
Other users: display name, gender, 18+ label, and online/last-seen signals visible in discovery/chat; message content only with your chat peer.
Service providers: Firebase (FCM, Crashlytics), hosting/storage for media (private object storage with short-lived signed URLs).
Law / safety: we may disclose information when required by law or to address serious harm (including underage/CSAM concerns).
6. Retention
Messages: disposable dating chat; purged after a short retention window (default 30 days).
Account deletion: when you request deletion, new sign-in and token refresh are blocked immediately. The account is purged after a grace period (default 7 days) unless you cancel from a still-open session in Settings, or contact support during grace.
Security and moderation logs may be kept longer as needed for abuse prevention.
7. Your choices
Block and report users in the app.
Export a JSON copy of your data from Settings.
Delete your account from Settings. Public instructions: Account deletion.
8. Security
Passwords are hashed (Argon2). Media is stored privately and served via short-lived signed URLs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use strong passwords and keep no-email credentials safe.
9. Children
The service is for adults only (18+). Underage use is forbidden. Reports of underage users can lead to immediate suspension and permanent ban. See Community Guidelines.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page.
